This immersive training places cadets at the heart of ship operations, offering hands-on experience in essential maritime skills. &nbsp;Cadets will take on real-world responsibilities as they navigate by charts, handle mooring lines, operate the steam plant, and even tackle shipboard firefighting. The training doesn&rsquo;t stop at theory&mdash;cadets will stand watch on the bridge and in the engine room, ensuring the ship stays on course and fully operational. Join Training Group Northeast 06 aboard the USS Arlington (LPD 24) 🚢 for the Baltimore to New York transit. This unique underway experience brings together hands-on learning, teamwork, and professional growth at sea. Use this form to register your participation, confirm required details, and help us plan a safe, well-organized journey. Your time on board will focus on building practical skills, strengthening collaboration, and deepening our shared commitment to learning and community service.Daily activities will include seamanship, knot tying, navigation, safety drills, daily formations and inspections, shipboard routines, duty station responsibilities, and watchstanding. Cadets will also participate in a variety of other shipboard training evolutions designed to build teamwork, discipline, and leadership.

Develop skills in boat handling, trimming sails, navigation, and rules of the road&mdash;all onboard 32- and 41-foot sailboats. Each boat will have an American Sailing Association certified instructor and a crew of six cadets, progressing from guided instruction to independent sailing in the Chesapeake Bay.Every cadet will have the opportunity to take the helm, trim the sails, navigate, and practice essential boat-handling skills while developing confidence and teamwork on the water.We&rsquo;ll also plan an overnight adventure: anchoring in a quiet bay, grilling dinner onboard, and kayaking along the shoreline.

Cadets will provide direct medical support for a 100-cadet training contingency during high-tempo field operations.This training emphasizes rapid assessment, emergency response, and operational medical readiness in dynamic environments. It is not an introductory course; cadets are expected to arrive proficient and prepared to perform.
