The United Houma Nation Vocational Rehabilitation Program will host the 14th Annual Celebrating ABILITIES / Disabilities Awareness Powwow on June 27&ndash;28, 2026, at the Barry P. Bonvillian Civic Center in Houma. This free two-day regional event brings together Indigenous cultural celebration, disability awareness, and community engagement while supporting workforce development and accessibility initiatives.&nbsp;Attendance has grown significantly in recent years, with more than 5,300 attendees in 2025 and over 6,000 expected in 2026, creating both cultural and economic impact for our community.
