The University of New Orleans Foundation supports educational excellence by funding scholarships, research, and community engagement initiatives, fostering growth and opportunity for students and the region through strategic partnerships and innovative programs.

Join business, government, and community leaders for an examination of the River Parishes&rsquo; economic outlook and real estate market. Regional experts will discuss the forces shaping growth and emerging models for residential and commercial development. Continuing Education Credit Hours&nbsp;APPROVED by the Louisiana Real Estate Commission and Louisiana Real Estate Appraisers Board (4 Hours of Credit). Keynote Speaker: Dr. Loren Scott, one of Louisiana&#39;s most respected economic forecasters, will deliver the keynote on the state and River Region outlook.&nbsp; Michael Hecht, President &amp; CEO, Greater New Orleans, Inc. will give opening remarks and moderate Leading the River Region&#39;s Future: Parish Presidents Roundtable. Other Panels Include: Powering the Next Economy: New Models for Investment &amp; Industrial Development | Building the Next River Region: New Strategies for Residential &amp; Commercial Development | Talent for the Next Economy: New Education &amp; Workforce Development Pipelines.&nbsp; Confirmed panelists include the parish presidents of St. Charles, St. James, and St. John, the Executive Director of the Port of South Louisiana, and senior leaders from Louisiana Economic Development, Entergy Louisiana and Shell. University Of New Orleans Foundation's Silent Auction

The LSU New Orleans Philosophy Student Conference 2026 showcases original work by undergraduate and graduate students exploring ethics, logic, metaphysics, and more. Each student has a 30 minute talk, the presentations should be no less than 20 minutes and discussion no less than 10 minutes. Undergraduates present on November 12 and Graduates on November 13. Graduates will chair Undergraduate sessions and Undergraduates will chair Graduate sessions.&nbsp; The conference ends with an event on Saturday afternoon at the Broad Theater where students will watch the film <a fr-original-style="" href="https://am-i.film/" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color: currentcolor; user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">&quot;Am I?&quot;</a> and will have an opportunity to discuss the film with the director, Milo Reed, who graduated from Yale and studied philosophy and film. This conference is free, breakfast included on both days. Students will need to find their own accommodations and transport to the university, and pay for their expenses. Student on LSU New Orleans Philosophy program are eligible for a travel grant.&nbsp; Registration is free but students MUST register in order to attend.
