Our mission is to honor Big E by bringing communities together through rugby, connection, and service. The Big E Memorial Invitational supports cancer related causes and growing the game while celebrating teamwork, resilience, and lasting impact.

Individual Donations play a vital role in making the BIG E Memorial Invitational possible. Contributions of any amount&mdash;determined entirely by the donor&mdash;help support the operational costs of hosting the event, including facilities, equipment, logistics, and overall tournament execution. Once these essential expenses are covered, the remaining proceeds will be donated to the Erik Elken Foundation in support of cancer research. Every donation, no matter the size, helps honor Erik &ldquo;Big E&rdquo; Elken&rsquo;s legacy, strengthens the rugby community, and contributes to the ongoing fight against cancer. The BIG E Memorial Invitational is held in honor of Erik &ldquo;Big E&rdquo; Elken, a brother and player in our rugby community who passed away in November after a battle with sarcoma.&nbsp; In Erik&rsquo;s memory, the University of South Carolina Men&rsquo;s Rugby Team is partnering directly with a Foundation currently being set up to receive funds raised during this event. Our goal is to build a competitive, high-level rugby tournament that also serves a meaningful cause and leaves a lasting impact beyond the pitch.
