What is the Untold Dollar?Simply put, it’s a community of people who believe in empowering others through literacy and literature, who each donate $1 every month.Why $1?> It’s empowering. Not only do we fight for the underdogs, we’re supported by them. And we wouldn’t have it any other way.> It’s invitational. Most of us can’t afford to give $20 a month to a cause we really care about, but we can give $1 and invite 19 friends.> It’s communal. In the spirit of the Nguni Bantu philosophy of ubuntu (“I am because we are”). We exist in community, and our funding reflects that.> It’s international. It offers an equitable way for people all over the world to support our cause.> It’s sustainable. Monthly donations will empower our organization to do more for longer.

The purpose of Untold International is primarily to provide resources to Ghanaians living in rural communities who are suffering from lack of access to adequate literacy education, through unbalanced student-teacher ratios, lack of materials, and low prioritization of education. We believe the stories already exist; we simply want to provide the keys to unlock them.
