LXCL:Verdugo Hills Chapter, a chorus of SingUnited International, empowers women through barbershop harmony. We foster community, creativity, and musical excellence, providing opportunities for singers to learn, rehearse, and perform together in a supportive environment.

Verdugo Hills Chorus presents: &nbsp;&quot;Ya Gotta Have Friends,&quot; a seven-week vocal workshop!&nbsp; Come stand right in the middle of the harmony... it&#39;s way more fun than scrolling your phone! &nbsp;What you&#39;ll learn: &nbsp;<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">posture: the basis for all good singing</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">breath control:&nbsp;the fuel for singing</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">phonation:&nbsp;creating the sounds of music</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">resonation:&nbsp;creating good vocal vibes</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">articulation:&nbsp;the words that communicate</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">fundamentals: vowels, diphthongs, and consonants</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">singing with energy and dynamics</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">singing with artistry</li></ul>The workshop begins on Wednesday, June 17th, at 7:00 pm at Verdugo Hills Chorus&#39;s rehearsal hall at the Elks Lodge in San Gabriel and includes a weekend regional educational seminar in Camarillo and a performance on July 24th. Songs for the workshop include Bill Withers&#39;&nbsp;&quot;Lean on Me&quot;; the Beatles&#39; and Bette Midler&#39;s &quot;With a Little Help from My Friends/Ya Gotta Have Friends&quot; medley; and Maroon 5&#39;s &quot;Memories&quot;; and more if you&#39;re up for it! Please register by June 14th to reserve your spot and so we can have materials ready for when we meet you. Come sing with us&mdash;and bring a friend!&nbsp;
