At-Need Service ContributionYour contribution helps support the at-need memorial services provided by Veterans Memorial Reef. These services include the creation and placement of the veteran’s memorial reef, the memorial ceremony, and charter services necessary to provide the full three-day memorial experience.Please note that this contribution may be tax-deductible only to the extent allowed by law and only for the portion, if any, that exceeds the fair market value of goods or services received. Families should consult their own tax professional regarding deductibility based on their individual circumstances.

Veterans Memorial Reef offers veterans and their spouses the opportunity to participate in a living memorial beneath the waters of the Carolina coast. Through this pre-planning memorial pledge, you secure your placement within a custom artificial reef marker that will continue to serve marine life and future generations. Your pledge supports the fabrication, deployment, and long-term stewardship of the memorial reef. A portion of your contribution may be tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Veterans Memorial Reef will provide written acknowledgment of your pledge, including any required fair market value disclosures. Please consult your tax professional for guidance regarding deductibility. Once deployed, reef markers become a permanent part of the ocean ecosystem and cannot be removed.
