The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States Dept of Washington advocates for veterans, providing support, resources, and community engagement to honor their service and improve their quality of life.

The Department of Washington Veterans of Foreign Wars proudly hosts the Mid-Winter Youth Essay Award Banquet each year to recognize the outstanding achievements of student participants in the Voice of Democracy and Patriot’s Pen scholarship programs. Held during the annual Mid-Winter Conference, this formal evening honors top youth essayists from across the state, along with their families, teachers, and sponsoring VFW Posts and Auxiliaries. Guests enjoy dinner and the presentation of awards and scholarships to this year’s finalists. The evening culminates in announcing the Department’s first-place winners, who will advance to represent Washington in the national competition. Speak Easy Murder Mystery Night Supporting Sr. Vice Commander Persa and Sr. Vice President Tomsen

Join the Veterans of Foreign Wars Department of Washington for a night of baseball, camaraderie, and purpose. Spend your Saturday evening with fellow VFW members, Auxiliary, friends, family, and active-duty military at the ballpark. Gates open at 4:30 PM, with first pitch at 6:05 PM on Saturday, May 30th. Your ticket includes access to a private party deck with an all-inclusive BBQ buffet and non-alcoholic beverages. Beer and wine are available for purchase. No lines. No stress. Just good food, good company, and a great game. This night is about more than baseball. Five dollars from every ticket supports the National Veterans &amp; Military Support MAP Program, helping service members, veterans, and their families when they need it most. Bring your friends.
