Village At Woods Edge fosters community and support for individuals affected by Alzheimer's through events like the Neighborhood Block Party, promoting fellowship and raising funds for the Alzheimer's Association to enhance care and research.

Join us at The Village at Woods Edge for our 12th annual Neighborhood Block Party, benefitting the Alzheimer&#39;s Association.&nbsp; The Neighborhood Block Party has become a cherished community tradition, bringing together friends, neighbors, local businesses, and supporters for an evening filled with delicious barbecue, live beach music, raffle drawings, fellowship and fun&mdash;all while supporting a cause that touches so many. We look forward to welcoming you for a wonderful evening of food, music, fellowship, and community as we celebrate twelve years of making a difference together.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK PARTY - Silent AuctionWe&#39;re pleased to introduce a special addition to this year&#39;s Neighborhood Block Party: our silent auction, featuring two exceptional Virginia experiences generously contributed by community partners. Your bid does more than give you the chance to take home a memorable experience &mdash; every winning bid helps support The Village at Woods Edge&#39;s annual Neighborhood Block Party fundraiser benefiting the Alzheimer&#39;s Association. Together, we are helping support the Alzheimer&#39;s Association&#39;s work in research, advocacy, and resources for individuals, families and caregivers affected by dementia. HOW BIDDING WORKSOnline bidding opens Tuesday, October 6.Place your bid from wherever you are and keep an eye on your bid as the auction progresses. Online bidding will close on Thursday, October 8 at Noon. At that time, the current high bid for each package will become the opening bid for in-person bidding at the Neighborhood Block Party. In-person bidding will continue during the event on Thursday evening, October 8. This means you can participate whether you&#39;re joining us online, attending the Neighborhood Block Party, or both. WINNERS &amp; ITEM PICK-UPFinal winners will be determined when in-person bidding closes during the Neighborhood Block Party. Winners will be announced during the event and contacted directly following the auction. Auction packages may be picked up at The Village at Woods Edge following the event. Additional details regarding package redemption, including any expiration dates or restrictions provided by our community partners, will be shared with winning bidders. NBP America250 Silent Auction

Palette in the Porch is a creative evening at The Village at Woods Edge in partnership with Rawls Museum Arts. Join artist Sandy Waters for a guided palette knife floral painting class at The Back Porch &amp; Grille. Guests will create a sunflower painting to take home while enjoying a relaxed evening with instruction, supplies, heavy hors d&rsquo;oeuvres, and wine included. Event Details Date: Thursday, July 30, 2026 Time: 5:00&ndash;7:00 PM Location: The Back Porch &amp; Grille Instructor: Sandy Waters Cost:&nbsp;$25 per resident or Advantage Club Member | $35 per guestNo painting experience is needed. This class is designed to be approachable, social, and fun.Limited seating available.
