Volley In The Ville

Volley In The Ville honors community legacy through events like the Engines 4 Education Car Show, supporting scholarships for Orrville High School seniors pursuing skilled trades, fostering connections and celebrating shared passions.

1st Annual Engines for Education Car Show hosted by Volley In The Ville. This car show is held in memory of Bill Dalessandro—a man many knew simply as “the Scout guy.” Bill was born and raised in Orrville and spent his life pouring into the community he loved. Whether it was through his work, his involvement with the high school or simply the relationships he built over the years, he left a lasting mark on the town and the people in it. But if you really knew Bill, you knew his heart was in the garage and out on the road. He had a deep love for his Scouts. Three out of the four he proudly rebuilt alongside his son, Michael. Those projects weren’t just about the vehicles—they were about time spent together, lessons passed down, and memories that will last forever. Summers were his favorite. Weekends were spent chasing the next car show, always on the lookout for something special. One event he looked forward to every single year was the Scout show—a place where he felt right at home among people who shared the same passion. To many, that’s how they remember him: always smiling, talking cars, and standing proudly next to a Scout. This show is a reflection of everything he loved—cars, community and bringing people together. All proceeds from this event will benefit The Bill Dalessandro Memorial Skilled Trades Scholarship, awarded to an Orrville High School senior(s) pursuing a career in the skilled trades. It’s a way to carry on his legacy by supporting the next generation of hardworking individuals—something he believed in deeply. We hope this event feels like something Bill would’ve loved—good people, great cars and a whole lot of stories being shared. Engines 4 Education Car Show

We are so excited to host our 7th annual Volley in the Ville grass tournament!! "Our Why"This year we originally had plans to support my dad, Bill Dalessandro during his fight against stage 4 pancreatic cancer. While he fought with everything he had, he has since passed, leaving behind a legacy of strength, humility, and deep love for his family and community. In honor of his life, all proceeds will now go toward The Bill Dalessandro Memorial Skilled Trades Scholarship, which will be awarded to graduating senior(s) of Orrville High School pursuing a career in the skilled trades.Bill was born and raised in Orrville, a place he was incredibly proud to call home. He dedicated over 40 years to working for the local telephone company, quietly serving his community and building connections that reached far beyond the job itself. He was a familiar face at Orrville High School football games, holding the same reserved seats every season since 1978—the year after he graduated. He never lost touch with where he came from, even organizing and planning the Class of 1977 reunions to keep those lifelong friendships strong.More than anything, Bill believed in hard work, showing up for others, and doing things the right way. This scholarship is a way to carry that forward—supporting students who are choosing to build their future through the trades, just like he built his life through dedication and honest work.Though he is no longer with us, his impact will continue to be felt for years to come through every student this scholarship helps.
