WERU/EarSay champions community-driven storytelling and arts, fostering connection through radio and performance. They aim to preserve vital arts and information access, especially after losing federal funding, ensuring diverse voices are heard.

A Benefit for WERU Community Radio and EarSay - Emlen HallJudith Sloan, Najla Said, Jonathan Lethem, Warren Lehrer, Andy Teirstein&nbsp;perform in an evening where stories, music, and conversation&nbsp;meet at the intersection of humor and heartbreak. Community Radio station WERU (and others like it across the USA) have lost ALL their federal CPB funding this &nbsp;year and for the foreseeable future. EarSay, a community arts organization has also lost its NEA &nbsp;and other potential federal funding. Help preserve arts and information and have a fabulous evening.&nbsp; Sloan and Said will perform an excerpt from their new work exploring how their Jewish and Palestinian American backgrounds shaped their identities and friendship. Lethem and Lehrer each read from new and forthcoming books. Playing multiple instruments, Teirstein performs folk tunes and songs of freedom&nbsp;
