As Akron’s first African American congregation, Wesley Temple A.M.E. Zion Church has served as a spiritual, cultural, and community pillar for generations. Continuing that legacy, we are honored to host a special Choir Concert featuring the world-renowned choir from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (NC A&T). NC A&T, the largest Historically Black College and University (HBCU) in the United States, is nationally recognized for its excellence in music, scholarship, and leadership. The university’s celebrated choir has performed across the country and had the distinguished honor of performing at the White House for President Barack Obama. This concert will be a powerful evening of worship, music, and community celebration.To commemorate this special event, we will be publishing a Souvenir Program Booklet. We invite businesses, organizations, families, and friends to place an advertisement or congratulatory message in the booklet.
