Dear Neighbor,For over 40 years the WBNA has worked alongside neighbors and elected officials to create a community where neighbors feel safe and welcome and where we can all shop, work, eat and learn locally. Your donation is an investment in the neighborhood which allows the WBNA to continue to do this important work: bringing neighbors to the table around important issues, offering resources to the community, spearheading projects that enhance the quality of life in our neighborhood, and creating opportunities for neighbors to gather, support, and learn from one another. We invite you to stop by to say hello Monday through Thursday and to visit our website for upcoming events and opportunities (wbna.org). When we come together as neighbors, we accomplish great things, and for this, WE THANK YOU.Siobhan CallahanExecutive Director [email protected]

West Side Play Space Membership
Join the West Side Play Space (WSPS) co-op and start playing! We have a tumbling/active room, a quiet room with books, puzzles, dress-up clothing, and more, plus a whole room for the Imagination Playground oversized building blocks.WSPS was founded in 2012 by a group of parents who recognized the need for a safe, dry and warm space for our neighborhood’s children to play and grow together in the colder months of November to April. Most children in our community – living in small apartments – have few options for healthy, active indoor play during the winter. In the full sense of being "community made," West Side Play Space is a cooperative organization, which means that participating families play a vital role in the operation of the space. WSPS has no staff and is entirely volunteer run. The co-op model requires member participation and ensures low cost, high-value programming.

Since 1983, the West Broadway Neighborhood Association (WBNA) has ensured that those who live and work within our focus area are heard on issues that matter most. We have advocated for affordable housing, safe public schools that provide quality education, clean parks and green spaces, community-centered development, and sustainability. The WBNA organizes free community-building events that bring neighbors together to meet one another and exchange ideas. These include an annual Neighborhood Clean-up and Yard Sale, a Garden Festival, summer concerts in Dexter Park and a Halloween-themed event at Dexter Park. In addition, the WBNA coordinates food and toy drives during the holidays to help local residents who are experiencing financial hardship. We are also a resource hub, sharing information via our e-newsletters, social media, and community bulletin boards and hosting monthly Neighbor Nights focused on discussion of specific topics of interest to individuals, families and businesses in our community. We have a small team of committed staff members who work on these initiatives each day and they are available to answer questions, make connections and meet with our members, partners and stakeholders.Your generous sponsorship ensures that we can continue our work year-round and into the future! We are so grateful,Siobhan CallahanExecutive [email protected]
