West Central Germantown Neighbors is dedicated to historic preservation, enhancing neighborhood quality of life, and fostering community connections in Germantown. They engage residents through events like home and garden tours to promote local heritage.

To celebrate the nomination of the Tulpehocken Station Historic District to the Philadelphia Historic Registry, <a fr-original-style="" href="http://www.wcgnonline.org" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color: initial; user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">West Central Germantown Neighbors</a> is hosting a home and garden tour, Sunday May 31st. The WCGN Home &amp; Garden&nbsp;Tour will feature many of the beautiful homes and gardens within the historic district boundaries.&nbsp; Tickets to this walkable, family friendly tour will be available for sale through our co-nominator and promotional sponsor, the Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia, who will feature the event in their mailings and event calendar. Proceeds will support the ongoing work of WCGN to&nbsp;continue our mission of supporting historic preservation, maintaining and improving the quality of life in a diverse neighborhood and strengthening community bonds. &nbsp;WCGN is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.&nbsp; Join us and introduce your business to visitors from across the Delaware Valley and to neighbors just down the street. Sponsorships include ads in the tour brochure and tickets to the tour. &nbsp;&nbsp;

Sponsorship Opportunities for: Tulpehocken Station Historic District Home and Garden Tour

Your gift will support the legal fees required to keep 226 West Harvey Street as a single family dwelling - The property owner has reapplied to make a 3 story single family twin into multi-units. We will keep you posted as we know more. WCGN will need to hire an attorney to represent us on behalf of the Harvey St. neighbors.&nbsp;The Harvey Street neighbors believe the zoning change would have a negative impact on the neighborhood. &nbsp;Parking on this one-way street is already scarce and at times forces the elderly, disabled, and other long term residents to find parking far from their homes. &nbsp;Most properties on Harvey Street are single family and twin homes of late 19th and early 20th century construction with almost no off street access for parking. &nbsp;Any change would be a departure from the unique character of this part of our West Central Germantown neighborhood 🏠. These funds will help our community navigate zoning, preservation, and safety issues tied to this property as well as other properties in the general area. Your tax deductible gift will help neighbors stand together for a vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable Germantown. Every contribution, large or small, strengthens our ability to preserve our shared history and keep our blocks safe and welcoming 🌳.
