West Deer Township fosters community engagement and wellness through events like the Community Day Breast Cancer Awareness Walk/Run, promoting health and support for local initiatives while enhancing the quality of life for residents.

***The Shirt deadline has come and gone; however we will continue to accept registrations up until the event day August 8th. &nbsp;I do order some extra shirts, but those will be distributed on a first come first serve on August 7th and 8th during our shirt pickup times. &nbsp;Any questions feel free to reach out to me. &nbsp;Thank you all again!&nbsp; Robert Petosky***&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; The West Deer Township Parks and Recreation Committee and West Deer Township will be celebrating Community Days this year on Friday August 7th and Saturday, August 8th. On Saturday, the day&rsquo;s event will be kicked off at 10:30 a.m. with a one (1) mile walk or a 5K run starting at Bairdford Park, to benefit ADAGIO Health. &nbsp;Each participant must be pre-registered by July 25, 2026 to receive a T-shirt provided by local sponsors. You may register after that date, but T-shirts may not be available. &nbsp;We are asking that you wear your shirt during the walk or run. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; We are looking for businesses to Sponsor the walk/run event. &nbsp;A $100.00 donation would be bronze level, $200.00 donation would be silver level, and $300.00 donation would be gold level. &nbsp;This kind of advertisement will last for years. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Thank you for your consideration helping us with our efforts to make this event a success. &nbsp;If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to contact me. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Shirts will be available for pick up at Bairdford Park on Friday, August 7th between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the main event tent on the field, or 9:30 a.m. &ndash; 10:15 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2026, prior to the event kicking off. Shirts will not be delivered or shipped. &nbsp;If you miss the pick-up times, you can pick up your shirt at the West Deer Township Police Department after Community Days. &nbsp;&nbsp;

Your donation to the 30th Annual Toys for Children Program helps West Deer Township Police provide new, unwrapped toys to children in the Deer Lakes School District who might otherwise go without 🎁. Working through our Police Department Administrative Staff and Officers, we distribute toys directly to families in our community. Your support stays in West Deer, East Deer, and Frazer Townships and reflects our shared commitment to caring for our neighbors. Any money donated will be used to purchase additional toys, winter coats, hats, gloves, and wrapping supplies. Remaining monies will go to purchasing items for families that will contribute to have a Christmas dinner.&nbsp; Toys can also be dropped off at the West Deer Municipal Building lobby and Police Department lobby located at 133 East Union Road, Cheswick PA 15024. Each location will boast a large donation box where toys can be dropped at from the hours of 7am until 4pm.&nbsp;
