Enter for a chance to take home Andromeda, an original framed painting by Alexi Shumilo valued at $900. Raffle tickets are $25 each, and every ticket supports the Westmoreland County Museum&rsquo;s work to preserve and share the stories, objects, and records of our community&rsquo;s past. Andromeda will be featured as part of Shumilo&rsquo;s UNDER THE STARS showcase, opening Saturday, September 26, from 5:00&ndash;8:00 PM at the historic Inn at Montross. Guests are invited to see the painting and the full collection, meet the artist, and purchase raffle tickets online using QR codes available throughout the event. Proceeds from the raffle help the Museum care for local artifacts, maintain engaging exhibits, develop public programs, and keep Westmoreland County history accessible to students, families, and researchers. Online ticket sales open at noon on Monday, September 14, and close at noon on Sunday, September 27. The winning ticket will be drawn at 12:15 PM on September 27, and the winner will be announced at 1:00 PM on social media. Join the Westmoreland County Museum for the Barrel &amp; Bottle Festival: Whiskey Rebellion on Saturday, November 7, 2026. Inspired by the spirited history of early America, Barrel &amp; Bottle brings together craft beverage producers, food vendors, local businesses, and history for one unforgettable evening. VIP guests receive exclusive early access from 5:00 to 6:00 PM. General festival hours are 6:00 to 10:00 PM. Choose from general admission, tasting, VIP, and discounted museum member tickets. Every ticket purchased supports the Westmoreland County Museum and helps us preserve local history, present engaging exhibits, and provide educational programs for our community. Alcohol may only be served to guests age 21 or older with a valid government-issued photo ID. A tasting or VIP ticket is required to participate in beverage tastings. General Admission and Designated Driver tickets do not include alcohol.Museum member pricing is available to current Westmoreland County Museum members. Membership status will be verified before the event.

Barrel & Bottle Festival: Whiskey Rebellion

Barrel &amp; Bottle: A Whiskey Rebellion is an evening fundraiser benefiting the Westmoreland County Museum. Saturday, November 7, 2026 Westmoreland County Museum Montross, Virginia VIP Tasting Hour: 5:00 to 6:00 PM General Tasting Admission: 6:00 to 10:00 PM The festival will feature Virginia beverage producers, live music by Chauncey Fortune and ALE, food, history, a private VIP speakeasy, burn barrels, gathering areas, and atmospheric lighting. Alcohol producer participation is intentionally limited to provide guests with variety while giving participating businesses a meaningful opportunity for sales, promotion, and customer engagement. Alcohol vendor availability:&bull; Distilleries: Maximum of 6 &bull; Wineries: Maximum of 4 &bull; Cideries: Maximum of 3 &bull; Breweries: Maximum of 3 &bull; Meaderies: Maximum of 3 A maximum of 19 alcohol vendors will participate. Space in each category is limited. Registration and payment do not guarantee acceptance until participation is approved by the Westmoreland County Museum. Standard alcohol vendors receive one 10 by 10 foot outdoor vending space for a nonrefundable $50 registration fee. Alcohol vendors sponsoring the event at $250 or more receive an expanded 10 by 20 foot outdoor vending space, the option to incorporate guest seating, recognition as an official Barrel &amp; Bottle sponsor, inclusion in applicable promotional materials produced after sponsorship is confirmed, and any additional benefits associated with the selected sponsorship level. Businesses and individuals may also support Barrel &amp; Bottle as non-vending event sponsors. Barrel &amp; Bottle welcomes Virginia beverage producers, food vendors, artisans, makers, retailers, nonprofits, community organizations, service businesses, and event sponsors.Alcohol producer participation is intentionally limited to provide guests with variety while giving participating producers a meaningful opportunity for sales and customer engagement. Space for other vendors is also limited and assigned according to event needs, available space, and application approval. Every vendor is responsible for obtaining and maintaining all licenses, permits, certificates, insurance, inspections, tax documentation, and other approvals applicable to its business and participation. Vendors must provide copies of applicable documents when requested by the Westmoreland County Museum. Vendor application and payment deadline: Friday, October 23, 2026.
