Support Wild Grace Sanctuary
Wild Grace Sanctuary is a nonprofit spiritual community in Lithonia, Georgia. It exists to care for animals, steward land, and practice creativity as a source of healing and connection. This is a permanent sanctuary — not an animal rescue and not a retreat business. Animals live here as residents, the land is cared for as living ground, and people gather for regular spiritual and creative practices rooted in presence.Wild Grace is home to eighteen animal residents (currently seventeen cats and one dog). Some have chronic medical needs, and it is not unusual for a single animal to require $1,000 or more in veterinary care and medication in a given month, alongside everyday needs such as food, shelter, fencing, and property maintenance.Creativity — including writing, music, songwriting, and improv — is practiced here as a way of listening, reconnecting, and healing, especially in relationship with animals and land. Any retreats or workshops that take place here operate through separate business entities, which make regular monthly donations and also contribute a portion of proceeds to support the sanctuary.Over the years, I have learned that when you bring people together with creativity, animals, and land, deep healing happens. This isn’t theory — I’ve watched it transform lives, including my own. This work is sustained by a mix of monthly supporters and larger one-time gifts. Both are essential, and both are deeply appreciated.
