The 2026 Cobb Summer Singers present a celebration of our nation&rsquo;s 250th anniversary:&nbsp; I HEAR AMERICA SINGING. This diverse program, led by director and conductor James Cordell, will include patriotic selections such as God Bless America and My Country &#39;Tis&nbsp;of Thee, beloved works by American composers, spirituals in settings by great American arrangers Moses Hogan, Dan Forrest, and William Dawson, and stirring gospel selections like Total Praise.

Cobb Summer Singers presents I HEAR AMERICA SING!

A celebration of Franz Joseph Haydn with chorus, soloists, and orchestra performing the LORD NELSON MASS, TE DEUM in C &amp; Symphony #88. The choir of 175 members will be led by WILLIAM O. BAKER, DMA, Music Director &amp; Conductor, in their 27th season of singing! They will be joined by distinguished soloists from the Kansas City region and members from the Kansas City Symphony. It is a concert not to be missed!

Sale of the Institute for Healthy Singing &amp; Voice Research, this is the first of a two-session workshop that provides practical guidance for building a successful private voice studio. Part 1 - Building and Managing a Successful Voice Studio Private voice teaching requires both pedagogical knowledge and practical business skills. This session will cover the essentials of establishing a private studio, including recruiting students, promoting your services, developing a studio contract and policies, structuring effective lessons, managing expectations, and creating a positive, professional learning environment.

Presented by Dr. Jamea J. Sale of the Institute for Healthy Singing &amp; Voice Research, this two-session workshop provides practical guidance for building a successful private voice studio. &nbsp; Session 2: First, Do No Harm: Healthy Voice Teaching Across the Lifespan Building on Session 1, this session examines healthy, developmentally appropriate teaching for adolescent, adult, and aging voices. Participants will learn to adapt instruction, recognize signs of vocal misuse, and set appropriate expectations that support functional development and long-term vocal health.

The award-winning William Baker Festival Singers&nbsp;offer a preview of their 2026-2027 29th Master Season of classics, spirituals and gospels from Renaissance to Contemporary. &nbsp;The performance is offered in appreciation to the community of the Countryside Christian Church in Mission, Kansas, that has provided a rehearsal home for the choir since 2001.&nbsp; Admission is free, with donations offered to Countryside Christian Church for its outreach ministries.

The 50-voice William Baker Festival Singers, second-place winners of the American Prize for Choral Performance and the Ernst Bacon Award for Service to American Music, open their thrilling 29th concert season at the historic St. Mary&#39;s Church in Kansas City, MO. Our 90-minute program, &nbsp;&quot;Revelation,&quot; includes works by ancient and modern composers. A Wine &amp; Cookie Reception will follow the concert, presented by the Board of Trustees of the Choral Foundation.
