As artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged in recent years as an expansive technology poised to transform our society, it has enabled new opportunities while raising questions about our humanity. Today, Yale&rsquo;s leadership is more important than ever, not only to explore, advance, and harness AI as it evolves, but also to provide ethical, legal, and social frameworks to address the challenges it poses. Yale wants to ensure that graduates are equipped with a strong intellectual compass to make consequential decisions and shape the future of humanity in a world with AI. About the Speaker Jennifer Frederick has served as Yale University&rsquo;s associate provost for academic initiatives since 2022. She is an expert in interdisciplinary and inclusive teaching practices in higher education and a widely respected university leader. She provides leadership for Yale on teaching and learning matters and shapes the strategic priorities of the Poorvu Center for Teaching and Learning in alignment with the University&rsquo;s vision and mission. About the VenueFounded in 1871, the Salmagundi Club is one of the oldest art organizations in the United States and New York&#39;s oldest art club. Housed in an historic brownstone mansion in Greenwich Village, New York City, the Club offers programs including art classes, exhibitions, painting demonstrations, and art auctions throughout the year for members and the general public. The Club owns a collection of over 1,500 works of art spanning its history and has a membership of nearly 850 artists and patrons.
