Hey! My name is Michael Henderson, and I’m so excited to participate in the 2025 Dancing with Missouri Stars. Anyone who knows me knows I have an affinity for the dance floor, but having attended the last 2 DWMS I know this won’t be a walk in the park.

Originally from St. Louis, I’ve been a lifelong Mizzou fan and graduated from the Journalism School in 2012. After a stint in Chicago, my now wife and I moved back to Columbia in 2017.

I’ve had ties to Columbia my entire professional career. My first job out of college was at True Media, then I spent 8 years at SuretyBonds.com, and now I’m the Head of Growth Operations & Strategy at Paytient.

I owe this town a lot. In recent years I’ve given back by volunteering with CreativeMornings, a monthly speaker series that shines a light on local creatives. From politicians and painters to business owners and educators, our local chapter believes everyone is creative and community is vital to allowing creativity to flourish.

Being a celebrity for Dancing with Missouri Stars is a unique opportunity to support our local community and have a lot of fun while doing it. To me, there’s no better way to spend your time.

I would not be able to do this, however, without the support of my beautiful wife and encouraging group of friends. I’d also be remiss if I didn’t give a shoutout to our 3 cats that will undoubtedly look at me judgingly while I stumble over my feet during practice at home.
