Get Outside for Mental Health!

General campaign

As part of our United Way campaign, Youth and Family Project personnel are getting outside and raising awareness for mental health! For the month of September, YFP personnel will attempt to log about 20 minutes per day (8 hours for the month) of outdoor time. Studies show that 20 minutes/day or 2 hours/week of outdoor time is beneficial to adult mental health and children need even more! The recommendations range anywhere from 2-6 hours per day of outdoor time for children.

Follow us on Facebook @youthandfamilyproject to cheer us on, get ideas of how to get outside in fun and creative ways, and raise funds for United Way and the Youth and Family Project!

Consider sponsoring one of our staff or volunteers as they work towards 8 hours of outdoor time this month!
