Lila Grace Ewart came into the world on January 21, 2024 and went straight to heaven. There has never been a child more wanted or prayed for. Lila was beautiful and perfect, which makes it easy for us to believe that she left here as an angel. Her big chubby cheeks, perfect nose, pouty lips, and full head of hair were prominent pretty early on in her ultrasounds. Lila was a true miracle baby, and her doctors referred to her as this throughout her 39 weeks and 3 days on Earth. Lila was wild from the beginning, with a ton of energy that kept us on our toes. At every ultrasound, the doctors commented on how we were going to have our hands full. Lila will never be forgotten and filled our hearts and home with so much love. Her impact after her passing has been felt so deeply and will live on in her memory. Her mother takes comfort in the fact that she was the only home Lila ever knew and is still very much alive in our hearts.

Although we lost Lila way too soon, if we could do it all over again we cannot imagine a life without her in it. The miracle of Lila would not have been conceivable without the assistance of fertility treatments.  We met later in life, and because of this couldn’t get pregnant naturally. We want Lila’s legacy to be one that gives others that have had difficulties with fertility the opportunity to expand their families.

We are partnering with Dr Tolga Mesen at Carolinas Fertility Institute. Our goal is to provide a round of IVF to two different couples in our first year. One round averages around $20,000-$25,000. Any little bit helps us reach our goal. How wonderful it will be that a child was born because of Lila Grace.
