Believe in Her

Education is the keyto breaking barriers

In Malawi, Africa, young girls face the cultural reality of forced child marriage.  In fact, 50% of Malawian girls under 18 are pressured into marriage! But, studies show that, Education is the way to destroy barriers that keep girls from reaching their full potential.

Lack of access to high school is directly linked with increased counts of child marriage. It's notable that approximately 65% of women with no formal education are child-brides. When compared with AGE Africa Scholars of whom 95% delay pregnancy and marriage until 18+, it's evident how we can make a change. Today.

Girls who receive a high school or college education are empowered to make their own choices, including when and who to marry. Educated girls are armed with the knowledge and skills to transform the fate of themselves, their families, and their communities. When we invest in girls' education, we invest in a brighter future for everyone.

We invite YOU to join this conversation, this movement, this change to elevate empowerment girl by girl. As they grow into women prosperous in thought, ambition and deed, they will lift not only themselves, but their nation. We need to Believe in Her.
