Thank you for registering for the inaugural Operation Ripple Effect Swimming Challenge hosted by Rays the Barr Foundation and fundraising with us this year! We are excited to bring this swimming challenge to our community. 

Welcome to the peer to peer fundraising platform. By registering for the event, each swimmer is agreeing to raise at least $100 in funds via this platform or you have the option to use the paper form. But don't stop there! The more we can fundraise, the more kids we can provide swimming lessons to! And the swimmer that fundraises the highest amount will win a prize!

You can update the information here with a message to your family & friends - why are you swimming in this event, why is our mission important to you, what if your swimming goal for the event (# of laps), what is your fundraising goal for the event, etc. You can also add personalized pictures on your page! Make it yours & share on social media, though email, etc to spread the word.

Rays the Barr Foundation was founded in memory of Raylan Barr whose life was cut way too short due to a swimming accident in 2023. We have made it our mission to prevent further tragedies of this nature in our community by providing children and families access to affordable swimming lessons, personal flotation devices, and other water safety education. The funds raised via this swimming challenge will be used to support the mission and our 2024 giving plan. 

2024 Giving Plan: 

• Covering the cost of swimming lessons for children under the age of 8.
• Providing personal flotation devices to the 3 and 4 year old classes at Heritage House, where Raylan attended school.
• Infant Self Rescue lessons provided to babies born on Raylan’s birthday.
• Hosting water safety educational programs for families and children. 

The extent to which we can provide these classes and PFDs, all depends on the amount of funds we are able to raise though Operation Ripple Effect Swimming Challenge. We truly appreciate all donations made to our organization through this fundraiser.
