This is a fundraiser for a camp at Ozark Natural Science Center. 100% of donations will be applied to the camp costs for the student listed above.
ONSC’s mission is to enhance the understanding, appreciation and stewardship of the Ozark natural environment. ONSC hosts school programs and camps, and provides environmental education to all ages.
Since 1990, Ozark Natural Science Center (ONSC) has provided students with hands-on, science-based learning experiences that enhance their understanding of the natural world and the impacts they have on it.
During camps, students are guided along trails by an ONSC Teacher Naturalist. Students are immersed in a variety of natural science topics including weather, geology, water quality, life cycles, and much more. Teacher Naturalists also lead classes including botany, creek critters, decomposition, discovery of the specimens, entomology, FrogWatch, herpetology, ornithology, and radio tracking.
While attending camps, students are able to apply hands-on science skills that will be used back in the classroom, as well as explore and discover in a safe outdoor environment. For many of them, it is their first time hiking. The outdoor environment enhances their ability to learn independence skills, strengthen friendships, and create lifelong memories.
