Volunteers with Rock of Ages Lighthouse Preservation Society are working together to restore the 10-story Rock of Ages Lighthouse located 3 miles off the southwest coast of Isle Royale in Lake Superior. The summer 2024 lighthouse restoration season will be the final year of window installation at Rock of Ages Lighthouse!  After this season 31 windows will have been installed in the tower, including 27 double-hung reproduction windows as well as 4 portals in the cellar level. Each new window that is installed provides fresh air, a view of the beauty of Lake Superior and Isle Royale, and brings us one step closer to our mission of preserving the history of Rock of Ages Lighthouse. 

During this year's fundraising campaign in November and December 2023 we will be raising $14,000 to help fund the purchase of supplies and restoration materials for the 2024 lighthouse restoration season. As we work to raise funds for the installation of the last of the windows in Rock of Ages Lighthouse we will share "Windows Into History" stories on our Facebook Page that give glimpses into the fascinating history of Rock of Ages Lighthouse. This year's donor appreciation patch commemorates the 90th anniversary of the sinking of the George M Cox, a significant story in the history of the lighthouse.  

- Donate $25 or more for a patch commemorating the sinking of the George M. Cox.

- Donate $100 or more for a Rock of Ages Lighthouse collector’s magnet. 

All unrestricted charitable gifts are used to support our mission:

- to establish, support and promote efforts in the preservation and restoration of Rock of Ages Lighthouse

- to achieve the safekeeping of the building, artifacts, and records of Rock of Ages Lighthouse

- to educate and inform the public on the history of the Lighthouse so that its history may be accurately interpreted and preserved for all present and future generations.

Gifts in any amount are tax-deductible.  You will receive an email acknowledgement for tax purposes upon completion of your donation.
