The Color Craze Fun Run is a vibrant, family-friendly event where students race through color splash zones while raising money for amazing PTO programs. It’s all about fun, fitness, and supporting our school community! 

 What is a Peer-to-Peer Campaign?

A Peer-to-Peer (P2P) campaign allows families to actively help us reach our fundraising goal by creating personal donation pages to share with friends, grandparents, neighbors, and more!

Instead of just donating, your student becomes a fundraising ambassador—spreading the word and helping support our school in a fun, interactive way.

Your family can:

    • Share a custom link on social media, via email, or text.

    • Watch your progress and donations in real time.

    • Earn rewards and incentives based on how much you raise!

    2. Click on “Fundraise”.

    3. Set up your student page with your name, photo (optional), and a short message.

    4. Share your fundraising link with others—you’ll be amazed at the support!

    5. Donations are processed securely through Zeffy, with no fees, so 100% of every dollar goes directly to the PTO!

More Than Just a Run! 🎉

While the Color Craze centers around our fun run, it’s truly an event for the whole family! Last year, families enjoyed Touch-a-Truck, yard games, face painting, and a live DJ. We’re excited to bring back these favorites—and we’re exploring even more ways to level up the fun this year!

🎨 Color Craze Event Schedule

    • 3:00 – 3:30 PM – Check-In, Registration & Family Activities Begin

    • 3:30 – 3:40 PM – Opening Ceremonies & 5th Grade Kick-Off

    • 3:40 – 4:15 PM – Color Run!

    • 4:00 – 5:00 PM – Enjoy Food Trucks, Activities & More Fun!

💥 Where Do Color Run Donations Go?

Funds raised from the Color Craze Fun Run directly support some of the most impactful programs at Cedar Canyon! Your generosity helps us:

🎒 Send students on field trips — enriching experiences that expand learning beyond the classroom

🖍️ Support teachers with classroom supplies — ensuring every student has what they need to succeed

🎭 Fund student programs like the musical, Spring Reading event, and Field Day

📚 Provide literacy resources and professional development for teachers

🎉 Host free community events that build school spirit and connection

Every dollar raised brings us closer to fully funding these initiatives—and reduces the need for multiple fundraisers throughout the year!

🎯 What Happens If We Surpass Our Goal?

If we exceed our yearly fundraising goal—amazing! Here’s how we responsibly plan to use any surplus funds:

    1. 🛝 50% to Long-Term Savings

Contributing to a future playground remodel, which the district is expected to initiate within the next 5 years.

    2. 🎉 Up to 25% for FREE Family Events

Funding fun, no-cost events like outdoor movies, bingo nights, or special guests (think magicians or comedians!).

    3. 🍎 Up to 25% for Teacher Innovation Grants

Supporting creative classroom tools and projects—especially those that are STEM-based, hands-on, project based learning or research-supported.

    4. Other projects or purchases as recommended by the executive board and approved by the general membership.
