Join Me in Supporting Trek Relief’s Nepal Monastery Project

Volunteer. Fundraise. Travel with Purpose.

This winter, I’m partnering with Trek Relief on a purpose-driven journey to Nepal—and I’d love for you to be part of it with me.

Over 16 days, our team will combine hands-on volunteer work with an immersive trek through Lower Mustang—a breathtaking and culturally rich region of the Annapurnas shaped by centuries of Hindu and Tibetan influence.

Before we begin our trek, we’ll spend four days at Pema T’sal Monastery, just outside Pokhara, responding to a request from Head Lama Tashi to expand access to health care for local children and families—including those from the nearby Tibetan refugee camp.

What This Campaign Supports

At the monastery, we’ll help renovate a small but vital health and dental clinic. Our work will include:

  • Demolishing a cramped interior wall to expand the treatment space

  • Rebuilding and painting the room to improve function and capacity

  • Renovating a deteriorated bathroom to include a Western-style toilet and clean, usable facilities

  • Working side by side with local leaders to ensure the project reflects community priorities

This is not symbolic service—it’s hands-on, community-requested work that will directly improve the care local families receive. And it’s 100% funded by participants and donors—your support is what makes it all possible.

Our Broader Impact

If we raise more than what’s needed for the clinic, additional funds will go toward supporting schools in rural villages along our trekking route in Mustang. These communities face limited access to educational resources, and even modest contributions can help provide school uniforms, classroom materials, and essential supplies for students in need.

This project reflects Trek Relief’s core commitment to place-based, community-led service. We’re not there to impose solutions—we’re there to listen, show up, and contribute where we’ve been invited to help.

Why I’m Fundraising

This journey is about more than travel. It’s about humility, solidarity, and walking alongside others with respect and intention. I’m investing my time, energy, and resources to help make this project happen—and your support means everything.

Trek Relief’s work is entirely powered by people like us—participants and supporters who believe in conscious travel and meaningful service. Your donation directly enables this clinic renovation and all the impact we’ll create together.

All donations are processed through Zeffy, a zero-fee platform, so 100% of your contribution goes to the cause.
