Wisconsin Roots Rising is a giving day built for the organizations that don't usually get one. On October 14, every dollar you give goes directly to grassroots groups and emerging nonprofits doing community-driven work across Wisconsin. These are organizations that are rising, building, and becoming what our communities need. They're neighbors, advocates, and changemakers who are just getting started, fiscally sponsored by Embolden WI and the Center for Community Stewardship so they can focus on their work while they grow. Your gift gives them a seat at the table. Start your page, share your story, and invite others to rise with you.

Building Families Alliance of WI

Building Families Alliance is a coalition of more than 1,000 Wisconsinites fighting to make insurance cover infertility diagnosis, treatment, and preservation, so no one has to choose between building a family and being able to afford it. An estimated 172,000 Wisconsin women have struggled to get pregnant or carry a pregnancy to term. Without state-required coverage, a single round of fertility treatment can cost $20,000 or more, paid entirely out of pocket. Since 2022, the Alliance has introduced the Wisconsin Building Families Act in three consecutive legislative sessions, building a movement of advocates, families, and allies pushing Wisconsin to catch up with the 25+ states that already require some level of fertility coverage. Building Families Alliance is a project fiscally sponsored by Embolden WI, so your gift is tax-deductible and goes directly toward advocacy, organizing, and voter education work. Start your page, share your story, and help build the movement for coverage.
