When: Sunday, January 12, 1pm to 4pmWhere: Hostos Community College Pool, 450 Grand Concourse “C-Building,” Bronx, NY 10451 Every winter, TNYA uses the national USMS <a href="https://www.usms.org/events/national-championships/virtual-championships/2025-virtual-championships/2025-1hr-virtual-championship" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color:currentcolor;user-select:auto;box-sizing:inherit" target="_blank">One-Hour Swim Virtual Championship</a> as an occasion to raise money for charities that do important work to support the LGBTQ+ community.  We compete to see how far we can swim in an hour, and get pledges and donations. This fundraiser began at the height of the AIDS crisis, to raise money for medical bills for members of our team fighting the disease; now we work to spread the good will around. You can read below about this year's outstanding causes:The Alliance for Positive Change, formerly the AIDS Service Center NYC, helps New Yorkers living with HIV and other chronic health conditions get the medical care, peer support, and housing assistance they need to achieve health, happiness, and stability.Team New York Aquatics' Adult Learn to Swim Program provides low-cost lifesaving swim instruction to New Yorkers without these essential skills.Please help support our swimmers and these worthy causes by donating any amount to this fundraiser.
