Help Give Our Skaters a Permanent Home Nor&rsquo;east Uprising Junior Roller Derby is a nonprofit youth roller derby organization raising funds through our Shelter for the Storm campaign to secure a consistent practice venue and build a stronger, more accessible home for our skaters and community. For our league, a dedicated practice space is about so much more than just having a floor to skate on. It means stability. Skaters will know exactly where they are going each week, families can plan with confidence, coaches can deliver consistent and progressive training, and our league can continue growing in a safe, supportive environment. Nor&rsquo;east Uprising is an inclusive junior roller derby league that gives young athletes a place to belong, challenge themselves, build confidence, and learn the true meaning of teamwork. Roller derby teaches resilience, communication, trust, strategy, and how to get back up after being knocked down. Our skaters push their limits, lift each other up, and grow into leaders, mentors, and strong community members both on and off the track. Having our own facility would completely transform what we can offer. We could expand our programs, add more practice opportunities, welcome more skaters, host clinics, scrimmages, tournaments, community events, and open skates, creating a true roller derby hub where kids and families can connect and thrive. It would also give us the flexibility to build the league sustainably. No longer limited by rented time and changing schedules, we could create consistent programming for new skaters, stronger training pathways for current athletes, better support for coaches, and more opportunities for youth and families to be part of something positive. This campaign is about more than keeping our league on the track. It is about creating a space where kids feel supported, families feel connected, and roller derby can continue to grow as something positive, active, and inclusive in our community. Every donation to Shelter for the Storm brings us closer to giving our skaters the consistent home they deserve. Your support helps us build something lasting that will positively impact kids and families for years to come.
