Comic Zine Workshop:Join us Saturday, January 20th at 1:00 pm for a zine workshop, led by Flip Sarta. In this workshop, we will celebrate the joy of making zines, showcase examples of different comics, and discuss the versatility of comic zines. Flip will guide participants in creating a folded zine to make a ‘list comic’. Outside of the office, Flip organizes community arts events, the most recent of which was OutLoud Comics—a charity comics reading for the LA LGBT center, co-hosted with Silverlake Shorts. He feels it's important to create spaces of community with fellow artists to celebrate their work (and to help the community in the process!). He enjoys sewing, diners, and being surrounded by trees.
