MTWThF- 8:30-12:00pm Friendly Fables Writing Camp- Each week has a different theme: 7/3 - 7/7 (off 7/4) = F is for Friends For this week, students will pick a member of their family or friend group. What would that person do if a giant crashed into their work/school? What if it rained apple pies? 7/24 - 7/28 = Crazy Critters For this week, students will choose animals to combine into their own unique creature. What traits will their creature have from each animal? How does this affect how they run? What about how they eat? 8/14 to 8/18 = Thrilling Escapades For this week, students will embark on an adventure using themselves as the main characters! What would they do if the floor turned to lava? What if a spaceship started flying overhead? Instructor- Chrissy Bauman- Heya! I'm Chrissy, and I've always loved reading and writing. Imagination can truly flourish in creative writing courses — while simultaneously teaching children the power of understanding different perspectives. I've tutored dozens of kids and specialize in rephrasing lessons to help each student learn at their level of understanding. My teaching style tends to include inventive games where the students and I work together to accomplish goals! A bit more about me? I'm mother to two wonderful boys. I'm currently working towards my masters in psychology and communications. I also have a professional background in business and social media/marketing.
