Roots in Motion (RIM) is committed to cultivating intergenerational health and resilience in low-income communities of color through transformative outdoor adventures and movement-based activities. As a grassroots collective under the Karmic Agency Retribution Management Agency, we aim to shift discriminatory and oppressive narratives by celebrating our identities, ancestral heritages, and the beauty of our diversity. In operation since 2013, RIM creates a space for full creativity and agency, where we co-create, uplift, and support engaging, fun, and empowering programs that foster self-growth, wellness and community connection. Through initiatives such as youth summer camps, multi-day bike camping trips, and backpacking expeditions, we provide year-round opportunities for our communities to thrive and shine with nature-led connections.
