This Watercolor Portraits Workshop will focus on techniques of applying thin washes using various colors to attain believable luminous flesh colors, painting hair, fabric, and backgrounds.
This is not a VERY beginner watercolor class nor is it a class on how to draw portraits.

Bill’s passion is portraiture, painting the face and figure. He is inspired by and has a love for painting musicians; the challenge of capturing the moment when musicians are at one with a song.
Painting in watercolor provides him the control and accuracy of the drawing, but also freedom, spontaneity, and luminosity of the medium.
Bill has been teaching since 2013 at different locations in the Duluth area, on Zoom and YouTube. He teaches watercolor fundamentals and watercolor portraits, composition, drawing landscapes, figures, and portraits.
