Greeters welcome clients as they arrive at the food pantry, provide initial information about the pantry's services, and assist with intake procedures. They may collect client information, distribute forms, and ensure clients meet eligibility criteria.

These volunteers receive incoming food donations, sort them into appropriate categories (e.g., canned goods, fresh produce, non-perishables), check for expiration dates, and properly store the items. They may also label and organize shelves or refrigerators.

Food packing volunteers assemble food packages or boxes for clients based on predetermined guidelines or pre-determined amounts. They ensure that each package contains a balanced selection of food items and follows any dietary or cultural preferences indicated by the clients.
