Portrait Drawing in Charcoal - Instructed by Nicholas Daniluk
A drop-in class is available on Thursdays from 6:00-8:00 pm between from 4/24-6/12.
Art Room 10 - Ages 15+
Using charcoal, this class will focus on the study of the head as it relates to portraiture. We will work from live models and other sources.
Basic drawing experience is necessary.
Supply List:
- Large format pencil drawing pad with rough surface (not smooth)
- Large format newsprint pad (24x36 recommended)
- Charcoal (compressed charcoal and vine charcoal, charcoal pencils if desired)
- Kneaded eraser
- Cotton or wool piece of cloth for smudging
About the Instructor:
Nicholas Daniluk is a pastel artist from Ithaca, New York focusing on the human form in near-photorealism. He has a BFA with a concentration in drawing from Pratt Institute.
