This annual event showcases the amazing work the Lynn Institute is doing to create healthy, hopeful communities throughout Oklahoma.  Our featured speaker is Mr. Kitt Wakeley, a Grammy Award-winning composer, songwriter, musician, and music producer. A lifelong Oklahoman, Kitt's pinnacle achievement was his album "An Adoption Story", which won a Grammy in 2023. The album was a musical interpretation of Kitt's full circle journey as someone who lost his parents, entered the foster care system, was separated from his sister, and eventually adopted three children of his own from the foster system. Kitt's story of inspiration, resilience, and hope is truly incredible. The Lynn Institute will also honor deserving recipients during our presentation of awards. The Lynn Legacy Award honors individuals and organizations who are visionary leaders committed to creating and sustaining healthy, hopeful communities. These individuals and organizations are generous with time and resources, devoted to those who experience great need, collaborative in spirit, and dedicated to creating a legacy that outlasts a lifetime. The Thomas N. Lynn Community Champion Award is presented to individuals and organizations who, with determination and steadfast commitment, use their voice, influence, actions, resources, and compassion to make an extraordinary difference in communities.
