Astoria Film Festival FILMMAKING WORKSHOPS FOR ADULTS (Ages 15+) NOTE: You don't have to be submitting a 555 Film Contest film to participate in the workshop. Feel free to join if you'd like to learn about filmmaking and meet other aspiring filmmakers locally. If you are new to filmmaking and want to learn how to create a film, we are offering FILMMAKING WORKSHOPS for ADULTS (Ages 15+) who are interested in making a film for the contest (or in general) but don't have a filmmaking background. JOIN US SAT MARCH 9 2-6pm at the Variety Boys and Girls Club of Queens, for an INTRODUCTION TO FILMMAKING WORKSHOP. We won't be making your films with you, but we'll teach you about -crafting characters and stories -camera angles shots and movement -sound recording -lighting in film -Provide hands-on training in using filmmaking equipment $75 per person ​ This is the signup for the workshop.
