Temple Beth-El hosts the communal Persian New Year celebration, featuring performances by Hazzan Isaac Janfar, Santourist Arieh Aghajani, Hazzan Brian Shamash and our own Cantor Adam Davizadeh. A traditional “Haft-Seen” table will be presented and explained by members of our community along with recitations of classical poetry by Rumi.
Additionally, Hazzan Galeet Dardashti and Rabbi Danielle Dardashti will present a special preview of their Public Radio Exchange (PRX) podcast, The Nightengale of Iran. They will discuss their grandfather, famed singer and Hazzan, Younes Dardashti, and his escape to America, with Marjan Keypour Greenblatt.
