NMPRAC is now the fourth Latine museum in the entire country to achieve this designation, and the only Puerto Rican museum in the continental United States to receive this honor! The Ra&iacute;ces Gala will take place on Thursday, September 10th. This year, we are moving to a new venue, Rockwell on the River, and the evening will be one not to miss. We are thrilled to honor two Puerto Rican icons with the National Ceiba Award: &Aacute;ngel &quot;Cucco&quot; Pe&ntilde;a and Justina Machado.&nbsp;<ul fr-original-style="text-align: start;" style="text-align: start; box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">&Aacute;ngel &quot;Cucco&quot; Pe&ntilde;a | One of the most gifted and prolific songwriters Latin music has ever produced, &Aacute;ngel &quot;Cucco&quot; Pe&ntilde;a has spent decades crafting compositions that carry the heartbeat of Puerto Rico to the world. With a career spanning more than five decades, he has served as composer, arranger, producer, and musical director for some of Latin music&#39;s most iconic artists, including Marc Anthony, Celia Cruz, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Olga Ta&ntilde;&oacute;n, Chayanne, Ricky Martin, Jos&eacute; Feliciano, and Willie Col&oacute;n. A Grammy and Latin Grammy Award-winning producer, Pe&ntilde;a has also composed music for film, theater, and major international events, leaving an indelible mark on Puerto Rican and Latin American music.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Justina Machado&nbsp;| An acclaimed actress and proud Chicago native whose career has spanned more than three decades across television, film, and Broadway. A Tony Award nominee and Screen Actors Guild Award winner, Machado has become a powerful advocate for authentic Latino representation in the entertainment industry.</li></ul>This year&rsquo;s Three Kings Lifetime Achievement Awards&nbsp;will honor Orlando Rivera, Director of the Chicago Cuatro Orchestra, and Mary Santana, Director of The Miracle Center, celebrating both organizations&rsquo; 30 years of advancing the arts and creating transformative opportunities for young people to discover their talents, embrace their culture, and thrive.
