Winter is coming and with it, The 14th Annual Cold Turkey Plunge, benefiting Waterville Valley Adaptive Sports (WVAS) on Saturday, November 28, 2026! The Cold Turkey Plunge, one of Waterville Valley’s most beloved Thanksgiving weekend traditions culminates a month of fundraising with an energetic team and individual plunge into Corcoran’s Pond. Funds raised through the Cold Turkey Plunge directly support the mission of Waterville Valley Adaptive Sports: creating opportunities for individuals with disabilities to experience the freedom, confidence, independence, and joy that come through outdoor recreation and sport. What began with just 10 fearless plungers has grown into an incredible community event raising nearly $700,000 over the past 13 years to support people with disabilities through adaptive sports and recreation. Since 1991 WVAS has been providing adaptive ski and snowboard opportunities to people with disabilities of all ages, Veterans, from near and afar, helping thousands of individuals enjoy a New England skiing opportunity. Most recently, WVAS has undertaken a massive expansion- offering year-round programming to individuals with disabilities. With a fleet of 19 bikes, including adaptive bikes of all styles, WVAS has, in our first summer season, served more than 70 athletes, their families and friends, with more than 300 biking sessions. Our group has ridden thousands of miles, through sing-a-longs, sunshine, rain, rail trail rides and more. The spirit of riding a bike has truly been infectious. Your support helps provide specialized equipment, trained instructors, and life-changing recreational experiences that make adventure accessible to more people. When you become a Cold Turkey Plunge sponsor, you are doing more than supporting an event—you are investing in access, inclusion, independence, and adventure. Thanksgiving weekend brings families and visitors together in Waterville Valley to kick off the holiday season with the Cold Turkey Plunge, Alpine Advent festivities, holiday celebrations, and more—creating opportunities for our sponsors to connect all that come to celebrate. We hope you will consider joining us as a sponsor of the 14th Annual Cold Turkey Plunge and helping us make an even bigger splash for adaptive sports. Thank you for your continued support of Waterville Valley Adaptive Sports and the athletes and families we serve. Together, we can make adventure accessible to everyone.
