As the Utah Turkish community, we’re deeply saddened by the devastating earthquakes that struck Southern Türkiye on February 6, 2023. With more than 50,000 lives lost and more than 2.5 million people are living in tent camps, this quake is the worst disaster in modern Turkish history.
As with any disaster scenario, we know that children are the most vulnerable. The children in these regions have endured incalculable psychological, economic, and health burdens.
We invite you to be a part of the relief for the children of Turkey.
Please join us for an evening of dinner and conversation at Utah Turkish American Association's Rebuild Together Benefit on Wednesday, May 31 from 6 - 9 pm in the Zions Bank Founder's Room.
The benefit will include an authentic Turkish dinner, drinks and spirits, live music, and a tax-deductible donation. Guests may purchase individual tickets for $100. Sponsorships are also available.
All contributions will go to families and children in need as identified by our local connections on the ground and our vetted partners, including Child Amputees of the Türkiye Earthquake and Equality of Opportunity in Education for orphans.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
A warm thank you to our sponsors: WCF Insurance, Almora Advisors, Zions Bank, AnthroRealty, Helpside, Utah Council for Citizen Diplomacy, Deziria Chocolate, and Smith Johnson Tech.
Can't attend? Please consider making a donation. All donors will be recognized during the benefit.
Utah Turkish American Association's mission is to be a link between all Turkish speaking communities living in the State of Utah through educational, cultural, social, and recreation activities.
