WHAT: An adapted triathlon (assistance as needed)
WHEN: Sunday, July 28, 2024 from 9:00 to 12:00 (line up begins at 8:45)
WHERE:Troy Aquatic Park
- Run/Walk/Walker/Gait Trainer/Roll at the Hobart Arena Parking Lot - Area 1
- Bike/Tryke at the Hobart Arena Parking Lot - Area 2
- Swim at the Troy Aquatic Park
COST: $25 per child - includes a T-shirt, medal, goodie bag, and free pool party for participants and families following triathlon
PROCEEDS BENEFIT: Miamibucs, a non-profit organization that provides Amtrykes for children and adults with disabilities who live in Miami County
- Race course is adapted to each participant’s abilities.
- ONE parent/relative/family/friend is required to be with each participant throughout the triathlon.
- One or more buddies will be assigned on race day to provide guidance and assist with equipment from the beginning of the race to the finish line.
- Special volunteers assist all children in the pool (parents do not have to get into the pool).
- Family and friends are welcome to cheer from the sidelines.
- Participation with assistance is possible for ALL skill levels!
- Limited to first 75 participants; financial assistance available if needed.
- In need of a tryke? Email us at miamibucs@gmail.com by Friday, July 12th to receive one in time for the triathlon. We have a limited number of trykes available for use. Trykes are not available same day as triathlon.
- Register by Sunday, July 14th to guarantee your child receives a T-shirt
