Arpeggione Ensemble

Arpeggione presents a concert centered around themes of fishing, voyages, and the sea. Taking inspiration from Mahler’s Songs of the Wayfarer in the outstanding arrangement for baritone and chamber ensemble by Schoenberg, we have arranged other orchestral and vocal works by Mendelssohn, Schubert, and Mahler to tell our seafaring story. The musicians of Arpeggione will perform on instruments from the late 19th century, including Romantic Era flute, clarinet, harmonium, and even a handmade broom.
