By popular demand, ECWA volunteers are hosting a second &ldquo;Wow, I didn&#39;t realize that!&quot; guided walk led by Paul Manos, Professor, Duke Biology Department, and Perry Sugg, long-time ECWA volunteer. &nbsp; This walk is a wonderful opportunity to learn about the 17-Acre Wood&rsquo;s origins and about the trees and other woody plants that can be found in the Preserve.&nbsp;Paul and Perry will share the incredible volunteer efforts that have helped transform parts of the Preserve from being dominated by invasive plants to native plants.&nbsp; Beaver Bonus: we will visit the two beaver dams that have recently been built across the Ellerbe Creek and learn a bit about beaver behaviors.
