The third annual Nonprofit Speed Dating for Board Members is back for the South Shore of Lake Tahoe!  This popular event is designed to connect local community members interested in serving on nonprofit boards with local nonprofits looking for new and committed board members.  This event is your chance to be on a "first date" with a community member or nonprofit here on the South Shore of Lake Tahoe.  Come join the fun at this fast paced, high energy event!  El Dorado Community Foundation will sponsor and organize the speed dating and the social (with food and drink) thereafter.  This FREE event is intended to serve our local nonprofits who do so much for the community here on the South Shore of Lake Tahoe.

Our South Shore of Lake Tahoe event will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 2nd from 7pm-9pm at the Boys and Girls Club of Lake Tahoe (1100 Lyons Ave). We will match nonprofits and community members based on their interests in a speed dating setting. Nonprofits will have a few minutes to share their mission and amazing work they do, and community members will have a few minutes to share who they are and what/where they are willing to help out.  The time required to serve on a non-profit board is wide-ranging…from monthly meetings to only once a quarter.  That’s only 4x a year! No experience is necessary.   A lot of boards provide training and even we, here at EDCF, have free training, available to learn more about non-profit operations. And remember there is no commitment required if you attend, but now that you are registered, we need your attendance...if for some reason you can't make it, please email me ASAP.  This speed dating event only works if everyone shows up!
