Kids ages 7-14 audition, practice, and perform a musical in one week! This session will be "We are Monsters," where humans sneak into a monster cabaret! Camp Lighthouse is a "Musical in a Week" for children and youth where participants meet daily for a week to rehearse the selected show, with a performance for family members and friends at the conclusion of the last day. Every participant will be given a part and lines. Campers will read thru the script and audition for a part on Monday, receive cast assignments and begin rehearsals Tuesday, and work on lines, delivery, blocking, etc. until Friday afternoon, when they perform for a live audience. WE ARE MONSTERS: A hilarious new musical that follows human kids into a monster cabaret filled with quirky monster characters. The adventurous humans uncover vegetarian vampires and rock n’ roll werewolves, gradually realizing there may be more to these monsters than meets the eye! Most importantly these monsters and kids discover the importance of friendship and celebrating in the attributes that make each of us different and unique.
