Event Details:

Join us for one of our most popular trips on July 28th– the Lummi Island road ride! This full-day adventure departs from downtown Bellingham and takes us on a scenic 15-mile pedal to the Lummi Island ferry. After a short ferry ride, we’ll spend a few hours exploring the island’s beautiful landscapes, relaxing at the beach, visiting the sculpture garden, or riding to the south side. After our island adventure, we’ll return via the ferry and pedal back to Bellingham.

What to Expect:

This ride is relatively flat and absolutely gorgeous, making it perfect for riders of various experience levels. We will have two ride leaders to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone. This is a NO DROP ride, meaning no one will be left behind. Please note that it’s a long day, with a total distance of around 30 miles. If you choose to do the bonus loop around the island, it will add 8 miles and 300 feet of elevation gain, typically done counterclockwise.

Logistics:

•  Meeting Time: 9:00 am in downtown Bellingham

•  Return Time: Approximately 5:00 pm

•  Total Distance: 30 miles round trip (plus 8 miles for the bonus loop)

•  Elevation Gain: 600 feet (plus 300 feet for the bonus loop)

•  Terrain: Mostly flat, with opportunities for elevation gain on Lummi Island

• Ride Difficulty: Intermediate

Cost: Registration is $15 per person, which helps cover the ferry ride fee and supports our organization in organizing and leading the ride.

What to Bring:
