The George Washington Carver Community Center will be hosting an annual All Girl Lock In. We had more than 30 girls at this amazing event last year! This is an overnight experience full of discussions, presentations, small group sessions and rotations, activities and so much more! Our female volunteers will talk to the youth about different industries with the goal of exposure. Exposing our scholars to different avenues helps create interest in areas where there wasn&rsquo;t any previously and opens the doors to amazing opportunities.&nbsp; Tania Watson of Flavaz Catering will cook our young ladies dinner and then we will get into all of the great activities we have planned. Drop off is 6pm Friday 11/14 and pickup is 8am Saturday 11/15. Girls can pack a sleeping bag/pillow if they plan to sleep, tooth brush/toothpaste, and comfy warm clothes for the evening. The young women will not be allowed to leave throughout the session and MUST be signed in and out.
